What services do you offer?

Reupholstery

Have a piece of furniture that you’d like to see re-vamped?  Give us a call or shoot us an email.  We offer custom recovery and reupholstery services for both the household and commercial client.  Upholstery services can range from simply recovering a piece in fresh fabric, to rebuilding a piece from the frame up, and everything in between.  To give you a free estimate, we’ll need to know the type and measurements of your piece and the services you need (i.e. new fabric only, new foam and springs, and/or frame re-gluing and touch-ups, etc).

Repair

Sometimes the material on a piece if wearing beautifully, but the internal supports such as foam or webbing are starting to sag.  In many cases, we can replace foam, tighten webbing, or repair or replace broken springs while maintaining the integrity of the original material.  If you feel like you are starting to fall into your couch, or the fabric on your cushions is bunching and puddling, chances are we can help you fix it.  In many cases, cushion foam that is starting to compress is the underlying issue that a denser and/or firmer foam can correct.

Why choose upholstery?

Its sustainable.

Given the prevalence of a disposability mentality in our culture, why choose to re-upholster when you could get rid of the old piece and buy a new one?  Often, that piece of furniture you think has seen the end of its days just needs a face lift.  If your furniture has good bones, we believe it holds great promise of transformation into a like-new statement piece.  By choosing reupholstery, you support sustainability by keeping usable items out of the landfill.  You also help stop the cycle of disposability by choosing to re-use quality items.  And trust us, older pieces are built with better materials and greater care than much of the furniture you can buy new today.

Its high quality.

Whether you've found an antique item that needs some care or your sofa is starting to sag, by choosing reupholstery you are ensuring that your furniture will be refurbished. When we get a piece of furniture in the studio, we strip it down to the bones and rebuild it from the frame up.  We can install new springs, webbing, padding, and foam, or work with what is already there to make the necessary repairs.  Once its recovered in fresh fabric, you'll have an original piece that has been handcrafted and mindfully rebuilt.

It provides savings.

If your favorite chair has lasted for 10 years, but is starting to show some wear and tear, chances are with a little work and care, it can last for many more years to come.  Costs that go into reupholstery include labor, supplies (including things like new padding or springs if you ask for it) and fabric.  Contact us for a free estimate today.
